Getting your tutorials out there
10/12/2007If you’ve written a great tutorial, that’s awesome. But how are you going to get it out there, and get people to visit it? The answer? Submit it to as many tutorial sites as you can, and cruise along for the ride.

Tips and tricks
Before you submit a tutorial, make sure you have the title, description and URL written down for easy access copy and pasting. You will use these a lot and typing them out each time will be too much trouble.
Have about 5 or six versions of the same image for your tutorial’s avatar. The most popular sizes are 50 x 50, 40 x 40 or 50 x 40. But often, sites require a certain file extension such as .jpg or .gif. I find myself having to edit an existing image ALOT.
Finally
Success is not ultimately about how many sites you submit your tutorial to. If you don’t have a good product people will frown upon your work and they won’t come back.
The best tutorials are original ideas that people find interesting. Would you rather learn to walk or drive a car?
Good grammar, sentence structure and legible explanations are important.
Good luck!
